Nice- imagine something a bit larger than their Crowchild/Kensington road store. Or a similar offering from someone else.

4000 sq feet is more-or-less the size of Bridgeland Market or Bite in Inglewood; with the proper mix of food, that could be a great location. Not enough to be a full grocery, but enough to do a mix of staples and grab-and-go.

anyone know why theres zero work going on finishing the 5th ave underpass?

They probably got ahead of their contractors or some critical piece of equipment to install.

Saw a sign for a condominium development on Nose Hill dr, in SCENIC ACRES. Affinity condos, from their website it's going to be a Luxury development...not sure if it will happen since people don't want to buy condos cause of Covid restrictions and because no one buys condos in Calgary anyhow 😁 and with prices starting from 600k.

check it out: Affinity Calgary

I suspect some dormant parts of the market will become quite active again. After 18 months of little activity those who want to downsize and have a secure residence they can lock up and leave to go away for a month or more. Plus if they can sell their current place more easily, could unlock a whole lot of movement.

it is somewhat like started condos/apartments - there is 18 months of household formation and two pse graduating classes of pent up demand right now. If the market might be able to adapt fast to let’s say a 10% surge — what happens when the surge is 50% and sustained for two years?

Properly timed projects will make bank.
