Looks like they're building a 3 storey office behind the value village by chinook https://dmap.calgary.ca/?p=DP2024-03392.
Update on this one, the Dobbin Consulting group has some preliminary information up on this including massing and shadow studies for the proposal. Not sure who is behind it, but there is a project out there for one of the blocks on 5th avenue adjacent to Riley Park looking to go 12 storeys.
Mid-rise buildings framing a park give off Melbourne vibes, and that is good! From a positive side, the shadowing doesn't appear to be as bad as I thought it would be.
Another new project in University District, on Block 11: DP2025-02541
It's a new builder in the neighborhood, Luxuria. Architect is Gravity. It looks to be attached to the wrong property on DMap right now.

Retail would be nice as it would help create a nice corridor down 2nd, even a corner CRU would be good, but I get where they're coming from. Their focus is on getting people housed.Regarding the Triangle site in Sunnyside and commercial on the ground, Jaydan Tait has always said he is the business of providing housing for people, not businesses. So I guess that answers that question for all.
Yup, I went on the Jane's Walk in Sunnyside about affordable housing and Jaydan was there to speak to the group at Triangle. He touched on that, as well as the height being just right at 6 storeys to quickly and affordably get housing built. He sure seems really passionate about scaling up Attainable Homes and delivering more units with this ATCO setup.
