Louise McKinney would be ideal for Shakespeare in the Park, Rockfest and Symphony Under The Sky.
Also ideal would be the entirety of the Legislature grounds for the Heritage Fest. The Annex will be gone by then so there will be lots more room for pavilions.

Symphony Under the Sky in the East Leg grounds (like Symphony in the City) please and thank you or at the bottom or QE's hill with the city/river valley/bridges in the background.

I was thinking the same thing, a beach.
And finally (as worded) "to support expanded uses of the lake".. This must be to upgrade water quality to a public wading/swimming area

If I recall correctly, so far they're thinking of improving the water quality enough that people can do things like paddle boarding, but not enough that people can be immersed in the water (IE swimming) for prolonged periods of time.

EDIT: I was right. The price tag for making it useable for paddle boarding/kayaking is $2 million, whereas making it swimable and adding a beach costs around $60 million.

It can always be reverted back to Mayfair Park
I like Mayfair Park better too.

I'm sad that we'll lose this park for a few years, but if it's going to be better for it then sure. Just hope that they can keep the peripheral trails open.

i suppose that depends on your definition of huge…

rogers place including the community rink only took 2 1/2 years from start to finish.

ground breaking to move in for stantec in their tower was only 4 years.

the park is 68 hectares in total and a subdivision of that size is often completed in a single construction season.

outside of the servicing, everything else on the list is a bunch of discrete components, all of which could be completed concurrently with each other and with the servicing.
