There's also a lot of construction on Yellowhead eastbound between 156 Street and St. Albert Trail. The road is dug up underneath the St. Albert Trail overpass. A lot of digging for the extra lane and eastbound collector.

The eastbound section east of 50 Street is also making progress. The three lanes have been paved.

Here's the progress at 66st and at 125 ave, as seen last Sunday. I gotta say, I'm not very pleased with the alternative "paths" they have. I managed okay on them, but I'm an able-bodied dude with a bike. If I were less-abled, or a parent with a stroller, I'd probably be forced to turn back in all honestly. Hopefully this is very short-term, and something better is open soon; whether it be a better detour, or a newly-paved path. Aside from that, it was great to see that this is coming along. Fingers crossed they finish in time to start working on the temporary CN overpasses at Fort Road this year!

In other words, 125 Avenue is done?
I took a break from studying yesterday to take the train down and see. It's not there yet, but it's getting close! Not pictured is the Fort Road side; there are no traffic lights installed there yet. Also, note that the crossing arms at 66st work, while at 125th ave, some arms do not work at this point.

CplKlinger, I know you're a huge fan of Fort Road and Fort Saskatchewan, but please remember that the Yellowhead Freeway Conversion project is more than just Fort Road. Some of us would like to see the progress on other stretches. Many thanks for your efforts though! 🙂

And you and the others here are more than welcome to post updates and pictures about the other stretches if you wish! I post updates about Fort Road because it's convenient for me to access. And I haven't even mentioned Fort Sask here so I'm not sure why that's relevant. Besides, this one page has posts stretching all the way back to August, so I wouldn't count this as spam, nor is it drowning out other content. It's not as though I'm posting here on a weekly basis every time they pave another foot of road.

If you want to see more diverse content here, you should be the change you wish to see in the world :)

Perhaps you can post photos of areas you are interested in for others to see? Odd request of @CplKlinger or others who post pictures entirely out of their own goodwill.

Just one more thing about Fort Road for now, I promise. But I was just emailed the construction bulletin which has specific dates and details.

Some highlights:

-The road closure is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 15.
-Fort Road will remain closed for approximately three months until work is completed in early 2022.
-The work will include construction of temporary two-lane Fort Road, construction of two temporary rail bridge crossings, and installation of utilities.
