The Gardiner is just like St. Clair, it was most expedient for BOTH Dougie and Robbie to complain about the ROW if it gets them air time. The Flagg Nation are all over Tory for the Pan Am situations, IMO it just seems a push at "Liberals" (of which Tory is not) in hopes to win the next prov. and municipal elections.

I think he is going for the red jumpsuit to hide blood spatter.

However, the "report card" from Robbie is just crap. Robbie speaks of a year of his reign and I agree with him, Tory has easily handled the same amount of things in 6 months Robbie did in a year. In the end Robbie succeeded in only promoting himself and his family, and not Toronto or it's needs.

Thought it was funny that he was talking about addiction being about self control. When he got out of rehab, it was all about his disease. So when it suits him, its a disease, when it doesn't, it's a personality flaw. Not that I'm surprised at his opportunistic use of his addiction.

The fact that he said "anything within moderation is fine". And these scrums. That boy is smoking weed fo sho.

I stopped by City Hall yesterday hoping to see a significant vote for the first time but they spent so f'n long talking I had to bail! The place was filled with dudes from the taxi industry.

Rob kept leaving. Every time he'd come back you could hear the cameras in the press gallery clicking away. He's for sure lost weight. I'd bet he's in the 200s for the first time in over a decade. I don't think he remembers me--he knows my name for sure but not my face.

I got to see Mammoliti go on a bit of a rant, which was fun. Some of the pro-casino councillers were taunting NDPers, calling them hypocrites for betting in the office football pool while at the same time opposing expanded gambling lol.

Were any of you there? I sat beside Jude for an hour or so.

I was wondering who amongst these councillors might grab the NDP torch in the next mayor's race or the one after that. Cressy seems fairly impressive. Good looking guy. Well spoken. He had a good speech. Layton also stands out, though he should really grow a stache like his pops. Perks is another standout but he might be a bit too kooky to run for mayor.

I had no idea who several of the councillors were! Some of them are sure good at keeping their names out of headlines and flying under the radar.

The Sun felt the need to make the HOV thing a front page story. You can see at City Hall how Ford has media wrapped around his finger. To normal people yesterday's comments make him look like a buffoon, but to his base they make him seem more real.

To the Sun's credit (I can't believe I just typed that), they did point out that Rob is providing tips on illegal driving.

He admittted to speeding in Muskoka while on his ride with DeadMau5 on video. (high as a kite, (post rehab)) while he ordered a q uintuple eXpresso (sic). Douche.

Given that a large media contingent is arriving for the Pan Ams, get ready for more Ford shenanigans. Like an antibiotic-resistant STD, he's back...

As feared, they are more interested in prosecuting the snoopers than the cracker:

http://www.thestar.com/life/health_...-snooping-into-rob-fords-medical-records.html

One can only wish our justice system is more diligent in prosecuting the criminal wielding power and perpetually pushing the boundaries of the law instead of those, other than an instance poor personal judgement, have dedicated their lives to providing quality care.

The answer is: because he's Rob Ford. There is no rhyme or reason. He does and says whatever suits him at the moment. No consistency. No moral fibre. No rules, unless they're Rob's Rules.

Moral fibre? I fear it went in and passed out through his digestive tract.

WTF is the deal with the red track suit? Seriously, does he wear that thing every day now? Does he ever wash it or does he have a whole closet full of them? Has he become a Beastie Boy? Is it cuz cancer? Is it some type of endorsement deal? What ever happened to having to wear a suit & tie every day cuz respect for taxpayers?

Like most things that come up here, I realize these sound like funny questions but I'm seriously curious about all this.

I think he said he says a lot of them, but I can't see him having more than one red one ... maybe it gets washed frequently, but I sort of doubt it.

So many things are over for Rob Ford and yet he can't admit it to himself. The tracksuit, however, is kind of an indicator that he's given up in some way and probably not just because all his suits are now even more ill fitting than before. It's like Seinfeld said about sweatpants: 'I'm miserable, so I may as well be comfortable'. I think the truth is that not all is well with him healthwise, but I'm just speculating.

There's a photo from the scrum yesterday where his eyes make him look kind of deranged. Is he using weed for pain relief?

It's a bit more cynical than that. Post-abdominal surgery means no suits or tight fitting clothes. For a man if his carriage, that limits him to a track suit or a mumu. Red gets him noticed and reminds everyone cancer. He's taking cancer and making cancerade.

His eyes have always had that deranged look. When he speaks, he doesn't make eye contact, he rolls his eyes around, blinks a lot, and often speaks with them closed.

Yep - it's all about making sure he stands out and stays in everyone's mind. Narcissist bar none.
