Man, that looks terrible with the concrete and grass only partially covering the tracks like that.

Howcome when it comes to transit in this city, we always have to half grass it? XD

Ok ill see myself out...

Someone thought that when they said "grass", it was the OTHER "grass", man. As soon as their head clears, they'll put in the other, other "grass".

but seriously, why is the grass applied so inconsistently is some places? I find this incredibly irritating lol

Also why is the area between the curb and the outside track not grass?

European green track for reference: (Paris and Amsterdam)

I’m going a random uneducated guess here. I think we tend to build with additional infrastructure in place (eg. Drainage, sewage, communication lines, track and road base etc.). Whereas in those pics and from what I’ve seen from other pics of European systems that use grass ROWs, they tend to be au natural with minimal added infrastructure; natural drainage, no beefed up track base, track laid down and basic simple streetcar-like cantenary strung up. Even their stops tend to be very basic with a stop pole and a concrete or paved pad. A legacy left over from old construction techniques. This is my guess of course.

Yeah, we have different mathematics in Canada 😄
Some people actually use this as an argument against transit in the US ...

Reminder that america still uses Imperial when the rest of the world uses metric.
Slowly, the rest of the world (including Canada's penny coin) are getting of their smallest coin currencies. Still waiting for the USA. See link.

The US ½¢ coin was last minted in 1857 and withdrawn on February 1, 1857.

Yeah, we have different mathematics in Canada 😄
Meanwhile, Trumpian mathematics is very different from any of the mathematics used by everyone else.

Trumpian mathematics explains why Trump won the 2020 election. Most other forms of mathematics, including those that we use, have Biden win the 2020 election.

We don't use Trumpian mathematics.

What an unnecessary post.
