I'm curious how the math works out between the amount of shading vs skylight/glass they put on, to achieve good energy balance. Is there a report/study of this somewhere?
If I remember correctly, it's also a green roof, so that comes with additional insulation properties.
 
If you look at these 2 pics, it looks as though they are putting a wooden 'barrier' or form along the metal roofing on the western 'wing'. I assume to pour the concrete (?) roof on top of the 'corrugated iron'.
Well spotted, but do you mean the eastern 'wing'? No doubt they'll do the same with the western.
