Given how much vacant land we have in the core, this description is hilarious: "RARE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY to BUILD 2 HIGH RISE RESIDENTIAL CONDO TOWERS in a PRIME LOCATION in the CORE of EDMONTON". Nothing "rare" about that kind of opportunity.

I suppose it sort of depends on the definition of prime location, but I would agree there seems to be plenty of opportunity around in fairly good locations.

It seems to be the type of hype that is typical in this industry. I am not sure it helps get credibility for this here perhaps it is aimed at out of towners who may not know better.

Thank gosh, thanks for confirming. I'm so excited that some prime real estate right next to the LRT station (particularly one right by a stadium) is about to get such high quality mixed-use development!

Glad they are redoing the park in front of Felice as well as Stadium Station, those 'humps' were looking very shabby and were full of weeds. Hopefully this redo is much longer lasting.

If the price to pay for what is one of the best products in terms of residential development in Edmonton in years is a handful of surface parking stalls, that allow them to deliver high quality finishes and a great public realm instead of sinking millions in underground parking, I'll gladly pay it.

Apparently I underestimated this city's typical obsession with parking.

Let me introduce you to the concepts of cost, margins and profits, all of which underground parking effects. A few above ground stalls is fine as others have noted.

Above ground parking is usually convenience parking for visitors, movers, etc.

I was about to say this. My condo has underground parking/storage for owners and ground level parking for visitors. Keeps the owner parking more secure, I don't want any of my neighbours random ass guests scoping out my parking stall/storage locker. But friends regularly appreciate not having to walk two blocks to the nearest street parking when visiting. Having most car storage underground but a little bit above ground is the ideal mix for these affordable 4-6 story tall buildings.
