Oeuf.

Also, what I find fascinating is that having just cancelled our season seats of 20 years that the Oilers did 0, nothing, zip to try and retain us.

There wasn't even a conversation or inquiry about how they might be able to keep us, just a thank you and goodbye.

A bird in hand?

Very telling.

Really? Cause we only get mini packs and are constantly getting emailed, texted, faxed and called about buying more…..frankly it’s a little aggressive…..hmmmm….maybe someone in your group was a jag-off towards them at some point?

Edmonton: Connor Ingram
Connor Ingram is an NHL goalie who battles his obsessive-compulsive disorder, to some degree, every day. His mask is decorated in fine lines, because he’d rather people didn’t stare. “I just don’t like people lookin’ at me,” Ingram said. Last summer, Ingram emerged from the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program only to have his training camp invite rescinded by the Utah Mammoth. Instead, the Mammoth retained some salary so they could trade him to goaltending-poor Edmonton — a favour, to be sure.
After a few months in the AHL, Ingram arrived in Edmonton and eventually took over the No. 1 job from Tristan Jarry. He turns 29 on March 31 and has resurrected his career to the point where he’ll guide the Edmonton Oilers into the playoffs as their starter. “You don’t get many more chances at this. This isn’t something that you come back from very often,” he said.

Couldn't believe when I heard after the game tonight that if the Oilers win the division, it will be the first time since the 1986–87 NHL season, when they finished first in the Smythe Division and went on to win their 3rd Stanley Cup.

Hard to believe they won 2 more Stanley Cups and been in another 3 finals since then and haven't finished first in the division. I guess being underachievers in regular season has been this franchise's history.

And if they do win it, it will still be their worst regular season record in the last few years. And with only 3 games remaining, they haven't even clinched a playoff spot yet.

I think the Oilers will "clinch" one way or another if they win 2 of their next 3 games.

They actually just need one point to clinch now. Or having the Jets not win their remaining 4 games in regulation time (the Jets are very hot right now, pardon the pun). If one of Jets wins is in overtime, the Oilers clinch.

Kings will be tough - playing really well now and battling for final playoff spot. Then Oilers face Avalanche. Last game against Canucks.

But in terms of clinch first place in division - agreed, will need 2 wins.

I don't want to jinx anything, but I'm very confident the Oilers will easily make the playoffs. They've shown they can step it up when the need to. That and let's face it the Pacific division doesn't have any standouts. Vegas beat us the other day, but they don't have it going on this year. We'll do it at the same Drai is resting his injury. We should be able to get through the first round, and have Drai rested for the second, which is when we'll need him.

But our on ice product makes a HUGE difference especially from Rexall to Roger’s……the fLamers are going from bad to worse whereas we just drafted McD and we were getting a new barn…….future was so bright we had to wear shades where fLamers fans get a new barn and a shite team…..
We were further ahead with our rebuild when the new arena opened than the flames will be when their arena opens. We had 4 first overall picks in a 5 year span with one of those being a generational player. I don't believe the Flames will get those levels of picks, I would give them at least 5 years before they are on the upswing, if they even manage an upswing.

Easily make the playoffs? We have two games left (one of those against Colorado) and we haven't clinched yet. That's pretty much down to the wire as you can get. And this is the weakest division in the NHL by a long shot. We may clinch if the Jets don't win in regulation time tonight - but we're basically down to hoping other teams don't win.
