Thanks for the info, Toronto Rocks. I knew the northwest businesses at Pape and Cosburn were eventually going to disappear for the station construction, I just hope they don't all suddenly close tomorrow! I wonder if the interim Shoppers will also include the framing/print shop next door that...

    East York-Old East York

The Shoppers on Pape is closing but I haven't seen any other businesses from Gowan to Gamble on the west side recently announce that they're closing. I hope they're not all closing tomorrow, my girlfriend just left her clothes at the dry cleaners there! Shoppers says they are moving their...

I peeked in the window and the walls look similar to The Donlands Diner with images of Hollywood stars from the golden era. I wonder if the diner on Donlands is moving there or did the owner purchase a second location...

Any updates regarding the new Shoppers that was supposed to be built at the northwest corner of Pape and Cosburn? Not much has been happening there for a long time now...

It's definitely the saddest Ford video there is. Speaking of videos, I wonder if that Ford documentary is still coming out. There was a guy that was following him around camera in hand. I spoke to him briefly after a Lisi court session and he mentioned something about tiff being interested...

The most quiet of the bunch is councillor Carmichael Greb. I watch council quite frequently and I've only seen her speak once. Crisanti is probably 2nd after her. Or maybe Chin Lee. Di Ciano doesn't talk that much. Perruzza is entertaining to watch, after about a minute or so you'll ask yourself...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

The appearance of Wynne and other Ford rivals at the funeral reminds me of the State of the Union speeches by George W. Bush and how everyone, from both sides of the aisle, cheered as his entrance was announced. They weren't necessarily cheering him as a person, but the office of the president...

I happened to catch the Ford procession after the funeral, it drove by my work at Bloor and Spadina. I took a couple of photos but I missed it when Renata rolled by, window down, smoking a cigarette. Oh well.

CP24 reported that "dozens" of councillors stood up and spoke this morning during council to remember Ford. But in actuality, it was 13 councillors. Hardly "dozens".

I just finished reading a biography on William Lyon Mackenzie, Toronto's first mayor, written by former mayor John Sewell. I found it amusing that Mackenzie used to annoy fellow members of the legislative assembly by demanding each vote be recorded.
