Agreed. This time last year Trump wasn't quite out of the ground, yet. Shangri-La still has a month or two (or three?) to go to get to that stage.

However, there will also be a slowdown as they get to the top of the hotel suite floors and then construct the various hotel spa, residential skylobby and mid-rise mechanical room floors.

The pour of the eastern side of the floor has started. The last pour of the eastern side of a floor was the afternoon of Tuesday, December 1, 2009. They appear to have slipped in their schedule with the "rain/snow day" on Wednesday and the high winds yesterday. By my count, this is the 16th...

Workers took a "snow day" yesterday and nothing got done on the top level. They are back in full force today and making good progress - I predict that they will pour the eastern side of the floor tomorrow morning.

It's not even in pre-development yet, regrettably: http://www.brookfieldproperties.com/properties/development.cfm

Ditto for me as well, although I was in grade three and it was a family trip. I recall being driven past the tower on the Gardiner when it was under construction and I couldn't believe the size of it. Once up there, the view absolutely blew me away. I didn't care at all that the land directly...

Workers are making final inspections and getting ready to pour the floor on the western side of the next floor. The last pour for the western side of a floor was Friday November 27, so, if they do the pour this afternoon, we will be on a 6 business day cycle for floor construction. As they get...

The first store has been uncovered in the concourse food court area. You guessed it - the ubiquitous Tim Hortons will be the first to open. It is still shuttered, but I spoke with an employee and she told me that they will open tomorrow morning.

To experience it best for the first time, I recommend starting in Scotia and then going north under Adelaide. This increases the linear feeling of the trip.

That's quite funny! But in fact it is a great linear trip up from Scotia to The Bay. I'd say even a great linear trip up from Commerce Court, although the stairs and slight jog entering Scotia mar the experience somewhat. The space through BAC is wide, bright and open, with just a touch of...

Actually, they have started the pour today. I thought it would be too late to start today, but I was wrong. :)

Looks like they will be ready by tomorrow to pour the eastern side of the 15th floor. The western side is already 2/3 covered in forming platforms in preparation for the 16th floor. We may see a new floor every week/week-and-a-half or so going forward.

Looks like the PATH entrance from Scotia Plaza into BAC will open soon. The big drywall sign advertising the new PATH connection that had been blocking the doors has been removed and workers are busily installing signage in the tunnel under Adelaide.

Build speed is improving greatly: A pour for the floor of the western side of the 15th floor (I think I have the actual floor count correct! - I may switch to the "level" designations that TT uses) is imminent, as I can see the last-minute inspections being made to the rebar, post-tensioning...

The eastern half of the floor for the fourteenth floor is now being poured. They should be able to build at a much better clip now that they are fully into the standard floorplate hotel suite floors.
