Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

I think the main problem for the flooding is the drain system. The gardiner has these strips that run along the expressway, which directs water that falls into it, to the sides of the gardiner where it leads down to the support columns, where we see the tubes, which lead to the ground. I’ve...

Don’t forget to also put it on the cladding before they cover your name up!

Drawing update of SkyTower. July 15, 2024. Last (first) update was one month ago, on June 16. (2024) Last update we were at 29 floors, now we are at 32. In 4 weeks, we gained 3 floors. For some reason, one floor in particular took longer than the others. Glass cladding has reached and finished...

Yeah, same thing for the maintenance fees for 25 The Esplanade, hydro, electricity, garbage are all included. You could leave all your lights on and the hot water running for as long as possible and you don’t pay any extra. I would also like to add, the added security of living in a condo vs. a...

Nope, I am referring to the 803 SQFT unit, at $729,000. 25 The Esplanade. The $720,000, 318 SQFT unit is insane. That’s 252 Church St.

    St Lawrence Market

I’ve always noticed, the St. James Cathedral spire looks like it is leaning east? Red lines match the concrete columns and walls of the building behind, they appear straight with it, but with St. James, as the spire reaches the top of the red lines, we can see it appears closer to the right one...

They are actually really good, especially for the amenities you get. The fees for that specific unit are $667. Remember each unit has different maintenance fees depending on the size. I’m pretty sure the biggest units have the most expensive fees at around $1k? Still really good, as there are a...

It started off as just sharing the history of the three big smokestacks in the area. And quickly turned into pollution talk, due to the nature of those big structures. Anyway, back to Lower Don Lands talk. Quibbles: What is C02? And it’s Hearn, not Hearne!

$720,000 for 318 SQFT?! :eek:o_O:( Take a look at 25 The Esplanade, a unit for sale, basically the exact same price, for 803 SQFT. More than 2 and a half times the square footage, and the same price. In my opinion, a better location and building.

Most animals survive on oxygen, most plants survive on carbon dioxide. We breathe in oxygen, and breathe out carbon dioxide. Plants breathe in carbon dioxide, and breathe out oxygen. It’s a cycle! Plants need carbon dioxide! Let’s save the plants, and pump more CO2!!!

    I just copied a list, yeah, CO2 is not a pollutant…

It’s because of the size difference. Stoves are much smaller compared to power plants. Power plants are continuously burning natural gas to produce electricity, 24/7, meanwhile, with stoves, you are probably not cooking 24/7. Stoves also will not burn as much natural gas compared to a power...

You could say it’s 15, but that’s only when it broke ground. Usually when we refer to buildings ages, we refer to the date they opened. Take a look at TD Canada Trust Tower, it was proposed 1986, it started construction 1987, and finished 1990. When we say its age, we say it was built in 1990...

Kind of like using waste heat, (taking advantage of electricity produced, to produce heat.) The Enwave Pearl Street Energy Centre in downtown Toronto mainly generates heat for downtown office buildings. It does this by generating electricity, which is used to produce heat through a process...

Natural gas stoves do not release natural gas into your home, as this would be extremely dangerous. This is how they work. The stove draws natural gas from the gas line. When you turn on a burner and ignite it, the gas mixes with oxygen from the air and burns. This combustion produces heat...

I’ve seen that photo! Wow, imagine breathing that… How about we also build the massive proposed smokestack at Pearl Street Energy Centre from the 1960s? Yup, that’s right. They wanted to build a smokestack DOWNTOWN almost as TALL as the TD Centre. Original Toronto Star caption: Soaring...
