Honestly beyond all potential transportation benefit a streetcar would be infinitely cooler and attractive for 17th than two lanes of idling traffic

Bone white fibre cement would've been perfect for the aesthetic

To me it doesn't look like the fill lighting made it which is unfortunate. Could have at least looked pretty rad at night

Scotia Place it is! Afaik that one hasn't been taken since the rink in Ottawa became Canadian Tire Centre

I wouldn't be surprised if "Scotiabank Centre" is pretty much a lock at this point

LED screens everywhere please I've said this before but the giant screens at 1 St SW are really cool

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Does anybody actually know the funding situation for Stephen Avenue? The Streetscape Master Plan was finished but actual construction is just "TBD". I wonder how much money is being split between this and the downtown portion of 8th Street...

At the very least it was mentioned on the page for 4th Street station that they're putting in knock-out panels to connect to future development.

I'm actually pretty sure this was the preferred solution sought by Green Line, I can't find anything right this second but I remember hearing repeated mentions of trying to integrate station entrances. Would definitely come down to property owners and technical feasibility

The blue line guideway is elevated over the tracks and bow trail and it made Sunalta station ridiculously tall

We'll see. I don't think they'll need to use the plaza as they'll have the entire site of Eau Claire mall and maybe the river run townhomes to use for laydown

Updated MSF design. Mostly the same except with chunks chopped off and put to future expansion
