    Chinese Ghost Cities

but doesn't a dwelling decay without anyone actually living in it? therefore damaging the investment?

    Urban Toronto: Then & Now

you should post that in the "Buildings, Architecture & Turban Design" section. :)

    Rob Ford's Toronto

i've got a solution to the paper plague, let loose on the streets a bunch of kids with OCD who enjoy ripping things down. when i was a kid, i loved ripping down posters. unknown to me was the fact that i was providing a valuable community service!

    Transit City Plan

transit city is dead. sheppard subway extension is the new priority. eglinton takes second place to sheppard.

Heritage Toronto Mondays: Front Street 1928

whippet? that advert looks like a 50's-60's advert for a car, unless it's an optical illusion. if you interpret it as a front view, it's looks like something out of the 60's.

Which would you choose: Sheppard Subway Extension or Sheppard Crosstown LRT?

this thread is a poll for two ideas that are not in the official transit city plan.

    TTC Subway Track Replacement

isn't asbestos a common material for brake pads to be made out of?

Which would you choose: Sheppard Subway or Eglinton LRT?

just an opinion here, i think if we build eglinton, there will be no choice but to build a DRL after it. but if we build the DRL first, the DRL doesn't put pressure to build eglinton. eglinton will add to the reasons to build the DRL but i don't think building the DRL will add to the reasons to...

Which would you choose: Sheppard Subway or Eglinton LRT?

that's two votes that are errors. kEiThZ & Second_in_pie. we're gonna have to pretend: -2 extend sheppard subway to STC +2 build eglinton crosstown LRT

Which would you choose: Sheppard Subway Extension or Sheppard Crosstown LRT?

the purpose wasn't to make it sound nicer. i used the phrase "seamless crosstown route" so that people wouldn't get confused and think there would be transfers and to explain the distance of this thing. i didn't want people to have any confusion with the current SELRT project. if anything...

Which would you choose: Sheppard Subway Extension or Sheppard Crosstown LRT?

Which would you choose: Sheppard East Subway Extension or Sheppard Crosstown LRT? please pay close attention here: pretend we live in a mayoralty where centre road median ROW LRTs are permissible. if you had to choose between extending the sheppard subway east to STC or converting the...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

well, if parking is free, ford should put an end to it like coffee and sandwiches, lest he be inconsistent.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

does city hall have free parking for the mayor and council?
  15. Prometheus The Supremo

Which would you choose: Sheppard Subway or Eglinton LRT?

eglinton can be insanely slow. it's even worse with wheeltrans. you get this feeling of being trapped.

Photo Of The Day: Bay Adelaide Centre's KPMG Signage Is Not Plastic

looks like a good safety feature. a sheet of fabric falling off a skyscraper is not as dangerous as a sheet of hard plastic.

    Transit City Plan

i feel the same way. we could have another crosstown route. it would do the most good and LRT technology would meet the ridership demand. of course, we'd need to have the LRT in the median which could be accomplished after the ford years.

Citytv’s Mark Dailey dies of cancer

absolutely terrible news. what a loss. i hate cancer. i like to think of the moses znaimer years as the golden age of toronto media and mark dailey was a huge part of that.
