^^ actually, iirc, it was a Loblaws, so full circle!

According to this RedFlagDeals thread, Gap is closing their stores at Yorkdale (as well as Queen & Peter), and Gap Kids at Yonge & Eglinton and Eaton Centre. Gap Kids at Eaton Centre is attached to Gap, so maybe they're consolidating the space?

I wonder what will happen to the Home Outfitters space? Restaurants?

Mark McEwan's Fabbrica is opening in the concourse level of the TD Centre, where Noodles & Co. was (across from McEwan's grocery store and next to Bymark).

Chapters stores have recently shut their stores at Bayview Village and in a strip plaza (Dorval Crossing) in Oakville. On the Facebook page for the Oakville store, someone indicated that they will open an Indigospirit (fancy Coles) by Whole Foods. Any others? Here's a blogTO post...

Ikea’s opening up in London, ON https://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/ikea-to-open-london-ont-store-in-fall-2019/article36559977/ This will be the 15th store in Canada (after new stores open in Halifax and Quebec). With their state goal of up to 24 stores in Canada, it seems like...

    Square One Shopping Centre

That still leaves about 120k square feet of space...

Danier has re-opened in the TD Centre, literally next to the spot it used to be (now occupied by a store called Options for Her).

    Toronto PATH Retail

Noodles and Co. closed their only Canadian (?) location in TD Centre February 28. They left behind bottles of soda in the (then) refrigerated case and piles of plates in the seating area. They were doing gangbusters when they first opened, and then McEwan opened. Maybe a Chipotle will open here?

Hopefully, they'll fix the connections from HBC to the rest of the mall/Queen subway station. Those doors have a horrible swing and are really awkward - everyone goes through the accessible entrance.

    Marshalls

Lawrence Square at Lawrence West station has signs up for Marshalls and HomeSense where Zellers had been (and Target at one point was slated to move into). If I recall correctly, it's a two floor space.

Zane's website says it's closed for renos 19-21 October.

If I recall correctly, this was a new Sears store that was built shortly after the revived eatons store closed (which turned into a temp Sears store). Is it a two story building right now?
  15. S

    Target

Maybe this is a good opportunity for Primark to be brought in for the higher profile malls?

hmv is closed as well, as previously mentioned.

Queen West Haven't been in the stretch between Spadina and University in a while--didn't realize stalwarts Peter Pan and Fashion Crimes had closed. Also B2 (which seemed to always have low inventory) and Bedo (whichever always seemed to be 50% off) have closed too.

Actually, Yorkville Club was bought by Equinox, a high end chain of health clubs - probably for its location and client list.

How about something in the Union Station redevelopment à la the beautiful store in Grand Central Station in NY?

    Sears Canada (1952-2017)

Target does seem to be going in, but not a bad idea for similar spots: http://www.riocan.com/Content/PDF/sitePlan/98A.pdf While on the topic, what would Scarborough Town Centre draw for Oxford (if exercised)? I'm not sure it has the same cachet.
