    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It's actually much better for a shenanigans-filled TO. No garbage track level fire, no fear of mentally unstable person being electrocuted and less wear and tear than an actual rail that TTC fails to maintain properly.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

A 7m TBM will leave the inner tunnel diameter around 6.2m as the tunnel liners take up 40cm each side. A train is over 3m wide. To have 2 trains side by side will definitely not fit in a 6.2m diameter tunnel if you thought of the height on the edge. Plus having a 10 cm gap between two trains...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I believe they are building the Gerrard/Carlaw Station (elevated bridge structure station platform) part of the OL contract instead of these rail corridor expansion.

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

The 413 could be design secretly to aid Ford's buddies to get to where their business needs to go. They really need to hush something out on the 407 for the section between the 403 and 401 to allow a free drive from the QEW to the 413 if they really want to reroute traffic from Burlington to...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Too bad they can't just use the justification of health hazard and safety concern to send them far far away in Canada. Some of them could be very aggressive too.

[Waterdown] highway 5/6 Interchange | MTO | Arcadis

They just don't want to build it. 407 East/412/418 was done in a reasonable time which proves highways can still be built in Ontario on time and on budget. That is 70 km total.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I really don't know what is wrong with the TTC. They advertised this as the state of the arts bulletproof system and hence they need more money to install it back in 2017. if the results is still a system wide disruption, they shouldn't upgrade Line 2.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

No loitering also applies to the homeless hogging up a bench for themselves while the train is jammed pack full in rush hour. The cost to enforce this along with bikes, pets and large objects being brought on the subway during rush hour is very expensive. So they rather leave it at status quo.

    TTC: Major Operational Issues (Various)

I don't think so. They might fix one or two of those multi section issues but not all. They closed VP to Kennedy early for 4 weeks plus weekends and one direction still has a RSZ. Now they just gave up and worked on something else.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Remember how they told everyone the old system is falling apart, that's why there's so many disruption and they need funding for a new ATO system. Well, what have we learn?

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Just remember rail vehicles’ worst season is fall not winter. Leaves is what causes them to slip, not snow. Winter could bring some troubles to switches if they aren’t heated as well as ice storms caused overhead issues

[Waterdown] highway 5/6 Interchange | MTO | Arcadis

Diamond interchanges create long queue line for left turning traffic. You can expect a long line up from Highway 5 westbound onto Highway 6 southbound. It is also more dangerous as high amount of westbound left turning traffic completes with high speed through traffic on highway 5 eastbound...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

It's the earliest not the latest date possible. Isn't Mosaic Transit Group still suing ML over someone's costly mistakes that no one wants to pay. Line 6 won't open till they settle this.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

You can probably etch your own marking on it. It's not difficult to fake something like this. I think the bylaw would help protect the TTC from lawsuits when things go wrong more than a deterrent to careless people.
  15. S

TTC: Scarborough Busway Construction (portion of the former Scarborough RT route)

We need a more transparent organization to manage this crap. I fear this will be the first and last time they'll attempt a single bore tunnel for any transit project. Maybe TO soil really isn't suitable for such a big TBM.

    Metrolinx: Other Items (catch all)

This is definitely an election tactics.
  17. S

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

It's more like DBNA didn't built a good bus more than Hybrids suck. There were so many defects on the Orions that they couldn't even profit from TTC's orders and went out of business. I don't think NFI and Nova have defects close to what Orions were having but the battery technology has...

    TTC: Easier Access Phase III

I wonder if they will keep the 52G in place to connect Sunnybrook to the Spadina Line while Lawrence is not accessible. Or revert it to force everyone to either make a transfer at Avenue Rd with the 124+52 or 11+14 at Davisville Station.
  19. S

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

There's an drivable entrance to the lower level. That's how they get all the cars in for the autoshow.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Let's see, if you pretend to not seen nothing, you won't be stuck in hours of being questioned and debriefed or threaten by Rick Leary. Or it's just a location that's really difficult to see.
