I've been asked not to say anything until he officially announces, but there's going to be a great non-Ford candidate in Ward 2. He's anticipating announcing on April 22.

Early days yet. Has anyone even declared in his ward?

Which election? The by-election hasn't been called. The municipal election is Oct. 27 -- the OP was wondering who would take Vaughan's seat municipally. If he resigns now to focus on his federal run, would they leave his council seat open until October?

Don't you have to live in the area?Karen Stintz, David Soknacki, or John Tory come to mind.
