^I believe that's all previously announced. And note some of those funding numbers are over 3 years (2025-28 Capital Planning)

@BASE posted about it in the Municipal thread:
  • $17.2 million to increase grants made to municipalities in lieu of property taxes on government-owned property to 75%, up from the current 50%. By next year, the province will cover 100% of the amount that would be paid if the property was taxable.
Oh shoot, I didn't see that in my struggle to understand the budget info. Fantastic news.

The Law Courts - $2 million announced in 2024

$20 million was announced for Stollery in 2024 - and this year $1million?

UofA Hospital in 2024 was given $58 million over 3 years for brain centre and neurosciences intensive care unit - has construction started? It's a $200M+ project 2024-2029 https://majorprojects.alberta.ca/de...entre-Neurosciences-Intensive-Care-Unit/10535

It cannot be understated how badly this is needed. Bio Sci is a complete disaster.

There should be more given for the stollery though. 1m$ for planning is not going to get all that far.
Replacement or Reno? Can they build a new Bio building for $100M? Wouldn’t think so

Probably a reno, but I would think a semi-major one. The building is literally falling apart, it needs a reno badly. Obviously a replacement would be preferable, but I wouldn't have even expected money for just a rework from the UCP.

Stollery should have been built by now with all the money spent on planning. Dialog was heavily into it for quite a few years.

BioScience was long overdue. 20 years ago I did renos on it and it was pretty ugly.

100 million is definitely a reno. 250+ for a new building. I thought Delnor was doing the renos already.

Norwood health centre. There is a Primary care in the area. IanO and I both worked on it.

Yeah was wondering about that.....seems that every medical building north of 112 Ave is called "Norwood" something. Is it already built?
