^I believe that's all previously announced. And note some of those funding numbers are over 3 years (2025-28 Capital Planning)
Oh shoot, I didn't see that in my struggle to understand the budget info. Fantastic news.@BASE posted about it in the Municipal thread:
- $17.2 million to increase grants made to municipalities in lieu of property taxes on government-owned property to 75%, up from the current 50%. By next year, the province will cover 100% of the amount that would be paid if the property was taxable.
The NAIT money was announced in 2024 (it was $43 million)Budget 2025 - https://www.alberta.ca/budget-documents#25-26

Pretty sure it has….crane has been there for a few years now - PCLThe NAIT money was announced in 2024 (it was $43 million)
The Law Courts - $2 million announced in 2024
$20 million was announced for Stollery in 2024 - and this year $1million?
UofA Hospital in 2024 was given $58 million over 3 years for brain centre and neurosciences intensive care unit - has construction started? It's a $200M+ project 2024-2029 https://majorprojects.alberta.ca/de...entre-Neurosciences-Intensive-Care-Unit/10535
Replacement or Reno? Can they build a new Bio building for $100M? Wouldn’t think soIt cannot be understated how badly this is needed. Bio Sci is a complete disaster.
There should be more given for the stollery though. 1m$ for planning is not going to get all that far.
Probably a reno, but I would think a semi-major one. The building is literally falling apart, it needs a reno badly. Obviously a replacement would be preferable, but I wouldn't have even expected money for just a rework from the UCP.Replacement or Reno? Can they build a new Bio building for $100M? Wouldn’t think so
Stollery should have been built by now with all the money spent on planning. Dialog was heavily into it for quite a few years. It cannot be understated how badly this is needed. Bio Sci is a complete disaster.

That was done about 19 years ago now. One of my first Consulting projects. Its now called east Edmonton Urgent Care Clinic.Yeah was wondering about that.....seems that every medical building north of 112 Ave is called "Norwood" something. Is it already built?
That's what makes it great!Bio Sci terrifies me, feels like something out of Stranger Things. Like the walls are going to open up and I'm gonna get eaten by the Demogorgon.

BioScience was long overdue. 20 years ago I did renos on it and it was pretty ugly.
100 million is definitely a reno. 250+ for a new building. I thought Delnor was doing the renos already.
Norwood health centre. There is a Primary care in the area. IanO and I both worked on it.
