From Twitter, link:

Coun. Ainslie asks Nunziata if the Jays game can be played on the screen in council chamber. A security guard flashes a hopeful thumb up.

(No beer cans in council chamber, please. Eyes might shift to Mike Ford if that's mentioned.)

The MLB Commissioner needs to get out more. Beer is served in cans in other parks.

I've seen social media posts that the guy the TPS put out a notice about didn't do it but I haven't been able to find a link confirming that. Has anyone heard/read confirmation?

So so stupid for a variety of reasons: you could injure someone; the game could have been forfeited if a player was hit (yeah, thanks super fan); beer at the Rogers Centre is ridiculously expensive so it's wasteful to just toss it

I don't see the point of banning beer cans. Seems like a total over-reaction.

Even a full beer in a cup or a bottle of water could fly like the can did when thrown.
