Huberdeau is looking much better lately, guy has a mini point streak going! Flames are 1 game below .500 and are 2 points out of a playoff spot, this season may not be a total write off afterall...

WEll, Zadorov is out no matter what. I can see Hanifin and Lindholm signing if they are in a playoff spot come the deadline. Will be interesting to see what happens...

With the players they have there’s no reason they can’t at least be a playoff team this season or maybe next, but they still need to start rebuilding. At the very least, no more rental prayers, and no more trading draft picks At the very least, no more rental players and no more trading draft picks for players, in order to try and make the playoffs.
Even if they make the playoffs they won’t it far anyways.

Such a boneheaded move to go to Columbus.
It was a strange move. I know he had hinted about wanting to be back in the US, closer to family, the way the whole thing went down is weird. I haven't paid much attention, but did we ever find out the whole inside story?

I think Columbus was the winner because Johnny's wife works in pediatrics, and the have the largest pediatric hospital in the US, maybe the world.

I gotta say, I am loving the Oilers season so far. I know it’s early, and they’ll probably bounce back, but to see them at third from the bottom in the league as nice. Lol

Until they get yet another #1 overall pick and especially this year.
Another win last night, and over Dallas no less. They have some tough games ahead: Colorado -> Vegas -> Vancouver -> Dallas -> Minnesota -> Carolina -> New Jersey -> Colorado -> Vegas -> Minnesota ->Tampa -> Florida. 6 of the 9 next games are against tough opponents, and the other 3 games against opponents that still aren't an easy win. If they are still hanging around .500 after these next 9 games, I might just become a believer.

There aren’t any easy wins these days, but those six teams will be tough ones for sure.
I agree, if they’re still in the mix after these upcoming games, then they have a chance at at least getting to the playoffs.

Hell of a game last night, and with an emergency call up backing Vladar! The win moves the Flames into a playoff spot now lol.
