It will be Jerome's call, perhaps with him in the organization the pressure to be an Iginla is either going endorsed by him or not.
Dupont is 3 years away from the NHL. He's 15.

I think it would be a good call all around, we probably need to draft D more than forwards, but this seems like something we can't pass up.
Dupont won't even be 15 for another month. I feel like if we are still drafting that high when he's eligible, something isn't working.

Completely agree. I want a Canadian team to win the cup but not if its the Leafs, Canucks or Oilers...

The oilers are the only one with a realistic chance to win it. leafs still need to comeback (then beat 3 more elite teams) and i just dont think the nucks can beat the oil in the second round tbh.

I think you are probably right. I'd love to see the Leafs go up 7-0 after 2 periods in the next game, and then collapse in the 3rd and lose 8-7 in triple overtime. Watching Boston humiliate them again and again never gets old.
If I have to pick between the Oilers and Canucks (as seems likely), I'll grudgingly root for the Oil.

The Jets were the team I was rooting for, so it was a downer to see them out, as I can't in good conscious cheer for Edmonton or Vancouver, and never will. I never thought I'd ever cheer for the Leafs, but that's who I'm cheering for now. I mean, it's been almost 60 years since they last won a cup, and in that time frame they've only been past the second round twice. + the celebration on Yonge Street would be epic.
Toronto has a really tough road ahead even if they get past Boston...and they might if they play the way they played last night.
Edmonton has a decent shot at getting to the final or even winning it. They're battle hardened when you consider they lost in 6 games to Colorado and the same the following year to Vegas - who both went on to win the cup. I think they might surprise a few people.
Vancouver. Without Demko, I'm not sure how goaltending will hold out. + they haven't had much playoff experience. They'd find Edmonton/Dallas/Vegas/Colorado much tougher than Nashville.

Vancouver and Edmonton should be interesting. Vancouver is 2-7 in playoffs vs Alberta teams historically. Will the trend continue?
