It's skyward climb has really slowed down. I guess it's the lower ceiling heights and changes to the floor plates.

Nice photo! The white trim of the balcony doors is starting to grow on me. I still don't love it, but I feel like once the structure and cladding have topped out, it'll really make the "pixelization" of the tower stand out a lot more during the day. Here's hoping! :)

Got some nice glances at this one while driving to the 'dome yesterday, (fun hockey game btw, unfortunate result tho :()
Anyways it's looking pretty damn huge.
They must be getting close to 40 floors by now, right?

Yeah, I'd imagine so. One of my fraternity brothers just moved into the north Guardian, so I'mma be able to update the heck out of this and a few others pretty regularly hopefully :)

A few more of Telus Sky in the evening light.

A few more of this beauty.

The balconies to the units are very interesting. They aren't flat concrete off of the floor plate as I expected them to be. They have a small recession...not sure why. A way of reducing thermal loss?

Agree with Myles86, it’s nice to have so many pics to look at.

I can’t get enough of this building. I think this will be the coolest high rise tower in Canada. Do you guys agree, or am I being baised being a Calgarian?

It will definitely be up there, although personally I think in the end I'll prefer it's sister Vancouver House. The more dramatic upside down silhouette, white over black facade, and more unique location make it a bit more appealing for me.

But either way, a great addition to the city.

It's all in the eye of the beholder I think. It'll probably be my favorite, could be Calgary bias, but I honestly can't think of a high-rise I like better at this time.

If I'm being honest, I'd say it'll be the coolest tower over 200 meters in the Western Hemisphere when complete. If not, at least top 5. One could also argue for Eight Spruce Street, 56 Leonard, John Hancock Centre, One Vanderbilt, 53W53 (formerly Tower Verre), and of course The Bow. Oceanwide Centre in San Francisco and One Thousand Museum in Miami definitely give Telus Sky a run for its money as well. However, the designs of those towers are not cohesive so I think Telus Sky and the others mentioned have a fairly significant edge. Others might argue as well for the new super slim supertalls in Manhattan due to sheer height and quality of materials.

Outside of Calgary and the US though, the next several coolest built/UC in the Western Hemisphere are probably The One (Toronto), Torre Reforma (Mexico City), Scotia Plaza (Toronto), Yoo & Arts Tower (Panama City), and BD Bacata Torre Sur (Bogota).

In my opinion though, Telus Sky has the edge on all of them due to the details such as 'Northern Lights' which will be one of the largest public art installation in the Americas, easily being the most dynamic large-scale art installation, and it's flowing yet rigidly pixelated form. Regardless, A++, we're very lucky in this city.

Sorry if this all sounds super fanboy, but I have actually thought about it a good deal.

Personally, I find BIG's Vancouver House head and shoulders in cool factor above Telus Sky. The sprawling Habitat styled development planned for Toronto is more interesting to me as well. All are amazing though. Vancouver is on cloud nine right now. Alberni by Kengo Kuma is near perfection. There's too many great towers out there to even begin to widdle it down to just a handful.
