They really, really ought to restrict left turns out of the YMCA and FreshCo parking lots along this stretch. Almost always it leads to someone totally blocking the shared use path, and with how busy the road is, it takes a looong time to make a left turn outside of late night or early morning hours. Then you get people taking risks that they shouldn't.

Would be prudent. I think a lot of people don't know about the back entrance to the Kinsmen/YMCA off 19 Ave, which would be the obvious detour for left turns while this goes on.

The entrance-exit to FreshCo along 111 St pretty awfully designed for pedestrians/cyclists, too. It's a wonder nobody's been mowed down there yet, and is a big part of why I do not like using this shared-used path.

Hopefully, when the road is redone they'll have the sense to not replicate this.

Also, it looks like there will be a near-side traffic signal for the new pedestrian crossing at University Ave/114St.

There was a shot with the Global Edmonton helicopter and it looks like there’s progress with the middle pier on the LRT bridge at Henday and 111 Street.

Yes they are well above grade on the middle pier. went by on Sat.

Unsure if vandalism or temp fluctuations, but MANY of the pedway windows at Century Park were not in good shape the other day. It was very consistent, which makes me believe it was a product failure, but odd given how long they have been there.

^ probably insufficient allowance for freeze-thaw expansion/contraction for the sealed units -- someone probably built these units to spec without the proper allowances and when the cold came... c-r-a-a-a-ck. They may have realized it at the time of installation, but since they were already built said, "let's see what happens!?!"

Two are cracked between the platform and the transit centre. They have been this way for quite a while. I don’t see any impact points so I’m guessing it wasn’t vandalism.
