Same owners. Cadillac Fairview. In the 80's it was planned as Simcoe II. The recession in the early 90's put that on hold until today. Might still have been called Simcoe II if RBC hadn't taken the naming rights for the building.
 
If it was a condo they could have called it The Sequel on Wellington.
 
North York Community Council will review a report recommending approval of applications by Eminent Construction Limited for a rezoning and site plan approval to permit a residential and commercial development at 31 and 32 Byng Ave and 31 Olive Ave, east of Yonge St. The application proposes a 30-storey residential and commercial building on the south side of Byng Ave and an 8-storey seniors' residence and commercial building on the north side. Burka Varacalli Architects is the consultant for the project.

99 Blue Jays way report recommends approval (20s, 157 units). Section 37 agreements is recommended to include contributiongs to improve Clarence Square Park.

NTCI/Tridel project - section 37 agreement will require $400,000 contribution towards the construction of a public swimming pool and a greenroof on the school, a heritage easement agreement for architectural features of the existing school and a public art contribution. Site will also have underground parking for 553 cars.

851-853 Richmond - Lanterra proposes 9 townhomes and redevelopment of two existing commercial/industrial buildings.

Three applications for significant height and density increases have been submitted for 609 and 587 Avenue Road and 215 Lonsdale Road. 609 Avenue Road application appealed to the OMB.

St. Michael College Application (50 St. Joseph): 25s, 37s, 45s and 3x6s fronting onto Bay St. Total of 1015 units. Architects Alliance is the consultant for the project.

151 Front looks interesting. By looking at the rendering it seems it will have a small section overhanging over another structure, which will be held aloft by beams.
 
The Kingston and Birchmount building looks like it could be interesting, or terrible in its execution. Though anything like this would be a boost to that stretch between Vic Park and Birchmount, which I think has a lot of potential.
 
The 55 Mill street is pointing to the Charles St report.

40 stories sounds terrible for this location. I really hope we don't see anything this tall around this area. This area should be strickly mid rise with a max height of 20 stories. What's the point of all that planning the TWRC did.
 
So does this mean that if approval is given for 151 Front, the project will proceed? So we will have 4 office towers underway in the downtown core this summer?
