Masks were necessary to limit the spread of COVID when there was no vaccine or treatment for serious illness and potential death. Today, we have vaccines readily available. To my knowledge there is no supply shortage therefore no excuse not to get vaccinated. While under 12 years has not been given the green light, that segment of the population is not at risk. Our most vulnerable population, the elderly and infirmed have been vaccinated. There is data all over the world to prove that the variants are making non-vaccinated people ill and potentially leading to death. If you are a teenager or adult, have not been vaccinated, and are worried about the spread then you have two choices. 1) Get vaccinated immediately or 2) Don't go out in public and if you do, where a mask. Society should not be waiting for assurances that this disease is going to be eradicated because it is not. Therefore we cannot live in fear of it.
