High Notes vinyl and coffee on Dundas near Howard Park.
I thought it was ok, but I can't see myself visiting it much at all. It has some elements of coziness, like the dim, up-pointed lighting that gives it a bit of a loungey feel, as well as the exposed brick wall (only on one side unfortunately), but like so many other places, there's a propensity for way too many bright white surfaces, and I hate that because there's nothing that kills the cozy vibe more than that. For the life of me I can't understand the obsession so many places have with slapping white paint all over the place. Ugh. It truly displays an utter lack of imagination or funky design mentality.I have been meaning to go to this place for a long time. I'd love to take my daughter there.
Did you like it? Was it cozy enough?
Found Espresso also opened up across the street from the Master Mechanic.
Oooh, this looks nice! Now, if only they opt to turn that parking lot into a park, what a view it would have!View attachment 631025View attachment 631026View attachment 631027View attachment 631028Typist Studios and Coffee. Dupont near Bathurst. High cozometer reading!
Yes, the awful parking lot out front does negatively impact my rating. That huge space as a giant patio would probably make this the best cafe in the city...Oooh, this looks nice! Now, if only they opt to turn that parking lot into a park, what a view it would have!
I'll go 50-50 with you - one window gets to overlook the viewing garden, the other can overlook the patioYes, the awful parking lot out front does negatively impact my rating. That huge space as a giant patio would probably make this the best cafe in the city...
Never heard of it. I feel like I need to indulge in some of Toronto's historic diners. Patrician Grill, Avenue Diner, Skyline, Flo's, Vesta Lunch, Ari's Place - I've never been to any of them!!!A diner, not a cafe, but we enjoyed the Golden Diner this morning’s snow day.
Nice to hear a different perspective. I wanted to go there about a year ago, but the friend I was meeting said it wasn't good.
I’d assumed it was a poor choice for years, until my usual diner (Chew Chews) closed for a year or more for renovations. We started going to Golden Diner and were immediately taken with its old world charm, good food and very reasonable prices.Nice to hear a different perspective.
