^ after Lulu closed their Whyte store in favour of expanding their footprint in WEM, I don't think we'll see another urban Lulu store in Edmonton anytime soon.

Foosh announced they’re opening a second store on 104 in the Icon II podium.
I think it could do well downtown. But whether Icon 2 is the best location is questionable and the streetscape, doors and store layout will be key to making this work at Icon. Foosh could benefit if other compatible retail open adjacent or in close proximity.

I think they are hoping for foot traffic (obviously). Icon 2 is dead in the middle of everything on 104th st. I'm surprised this location didn't rent out before. Either way, it's a better option than the previous service based store (Khrome). Kelly's Pub has been rocking it lately and is always packed. Arguably the best pub in Edmonton. And the Oilers are going to make another deep run. I think all those things give a business like Foosh the confidence to "roll the dice" on a location like this. It's definitely a huge deal though, as it is a vote of confidence in the neighbourhood.

Keep in mind that Strada Streetwear (similar to Foosh) used to be where Cavern was 15-20yrs ago and had a good, steady clientele.

Foosh will own the Downtown lifestyle/scene retail.
