I am a very happy traveller with the KLM increases on the AMS-YEG route. Thank you KLM.

Hope Condor is doing OK. My friend is joining me to Frankfurt in June and his flight was $200 less than what I paid two months ago - some good deals but wonder if that means lots of seats available.
We are flying back from Portugal and I was happy to get a one stop flight through Toronto for only $450. Will be on Porter for first time on that last leg.

Best action is to express this on 311 and/or with your city councillor regarding 747 frequency and fares system.
I take 747 sometimes and have done so, too.
Pretty sure the 747 is governed/funded by a collection of Leduc County, City of Leduc, City of Edmonton, and YEG with service being provided by ETS. Probably best to hound all 4 groups.

YEG stopped contributing in 2017 to this service unless they started up again, but I doubt it. (It started in 2012).
Not sure if Leduc contributes.

When city was considering 747 to downtown last year they were looking for funding partners but I don't think there were any.

Canucks charter plane for after we run them out of town tonight?

The number of times I've looked at Edmonton-Vancouver flights, I'm surprised how much Air Canada has downgraded the planes on that route the last couple of months, at least to my untrained eyes. It appears that they're projecting the same for the fall too. I was looking at fall bookings and it felt like there was more Jazz planes than mainline.

It is odd and a bit concerning that domestic travel is down, but transborder and international seems to be doing fairly well. I think in the long run that is a good sign.

Are there that many people driving to Calgary OR is it the economy?

Would be surprised if people are driving south for domestic. But I know 4 people (2 seperate couples) driving down to YYC in July to fly to Tokyo - it was $400 cheaper to drive to airport than fly from here, one of couples said.

That is one place I would like to visit.

Cause WJ is giving away fire-sale (loss leader) seats to Europe and Tokyo. I would surmise they make a boatload of cash to having YEG'ers and other fellow Prairie living folk fill up their feeder Q400's to YYC. No way that many YYC's fly to Europe and other ports of call on their 787's without us.
