Progress! Can't wait to actually use it! I hope the mall sees a renaissance once it completes since it's location is ideal and the neighbourhood is increasingly more upscale and progressive... Reminds me vibe wise of Marda Loop/South Calgary my old southern Alberta stomping grounds...
Have you seen this thread yet? There are some very exciting plans for the mall :)

Some shots of my stop, Avonmore, from yesterday : )
Heading north to downtown

I really hope that once VL West is up and running, the owners of Oliver Square and Longstreet shopping centre will consider selling/redeveloping parts of their strip malls (or maybe even the whole malls). It would be so nice if the parking lots fronting 104th Ave could be developed into low to midrise mixed-use buildings that face the road and LRT Stations on one side and the other parts of the mall on the other. I'm imagining storefronts and townhomes that open onto a wide tree-lined sidewalk on 104th with gathering spaces and the larger retailers right outside the LRT stations. What do you guys think?

I agree with you there. 104 Ave seems to be a really prime location for these sorts of mid-rise development. Maybe even towers in the future. The chances of that happening in the next 3-4 years might be very slim, but I hope I'm wrong on that account!

Dunno about you guys, but judging by what’s going on here at Stoney Plain Road things are starting to look pretty under construction to me 😀🏗🏗🏗

It's been like that for a while. I think it is still the utility work but still exciting nonetheless! Stoney Plain is one of my favorite roads between 124th and 149 street, so I am excited for it to be even nicer with a lil' train zoomin by.

Is this construction for the Valley Line West?
Me thinks it is! Well, I guess it could still technically be "pre-construction" but CMON we are soo close already!
