Does anyone know if the north facade will still have the dynamic lighting/art?

It is a very complicated build that went through several substantially different iterations. It is destined to be one of Edmonton's architectural gems!

I get that, but a decade to get something like this built is a ridiculous exercise in bureaucracy, inconsistent government commitments, value engineering due to misalignment and insanely slow onsite work.

Does it seem weird that the entire structure is made of concrete, including the walls? Maybe the roof...who knows....but prisons aren't even made of solid concrete.......

Concrete, dense as it is, is the best sound reflector for upper register and best sound absorber for lower register in building construction. Since this is an edifice housing rooms for music performance and appreciation, it makes complete sense to me. It is also one of the more malleable materials for producing integral curvilinear forms of which this building has plenty.
