so everything on this line is virtually complete and driver training is underway.... so Verster..... opening date please??!

I understand the crickets on Crosstown (kinda, but not really lol) but on this one? What's the hold up? It really looks like it could be open any day.
They need to train the operators to start with. And contrary to the CLC presentation, that hasn't started yet.

The third set of classes of LRV operators starts in a week (IIRC), they are expected to be taught on both of the lines and types of equipment. The second set of classes is wrapping now, and were only taught the Crosstown.

The other thing to consider is that something show-stopping may happen during training. It's unusual, but it's not unprecedented - and it's happening right now on the Crosstown.

To be fair, the slide mentioned that they're currently training trainers.
You're absolutely right - I re-read the presentation slide after my post, and I admit that I didn't interpret it correct the first time.

Still though - operator training should start soon, and all going well, should wrap up a month later.

I'm out on Finch every Friday and it seems like one week the trains are out and then the next everything is closed for track works. I suspect there are minor deficiencies as I haven't seen any major track works going on. Lot of road work left to do though, especially around the rail underpass.

Metrolinx is absolutely playing the same game of millimetres with Mosaic that they have been with Crosslinx.

The job is not complete to ML’s liking.

I’m sure they’d love to get things opened sooner. If they take over from the private consortium and start buffing out the minor issues themselves then the consortium may be, in the worst case, off the hook for many of their faults.

Cmon man youre like the biggest tease
It’s a great privilege having individuals privy to the ongoing construction details, but details of the contractual disputes are much more obfuscated. I expect anyone who’s close enough to fully comprehend is, unfortunately, not at liberty to expose those details.
