Great fun! Someone did this overnight on Bloor West at Symington. Simple but people were loving it! Photos taken 7 March. I love my neighbourhood!

Nice, that has been long overdue!

It's bizarre that they took a functioning plaza and reduced it to an empty lot for so many years. It appears to have been the kind of land speculation that hurts the city by gutting it of vitality.

Sure, it was just a small strip plaza, but there were independent businesses there that people in the neighbourhood could shop at. In the end, though, I don't know what the circumstances were. Perhaps there were contamination issues with the land or financial/legal problems on the owner's part.

Don’t think that this has been posted but the duplex at 278 Campbell caught my eye. Photos taken 14 April.

I'm not a big fan of corrugated metal cladding. It looks great when new but dull and utilitarian as it ages. It's best used sparingly as an accent versus being the dominant cladding material.

The converted warehouse building on the northeast corner bend of Sterling is getting BDS, a local photography company, as a new tenant. I think. Lol

Moving along. I still haven’t seen an image of what the park will look like. The connection to the Railpath is open. Taken 13 December.

I am posting this here as I consider MOCA a neighbourhood institution that provides the all important ‘third space.’ The new Phyllida Barlow piece is great as you can go inside. Also this is the first time that I have seen the Jali screen from the inside. Very nice but wish you could actually go in it. Taken 13 December.
