Hmm, the ones we saw are in full sun during the day. You would think bats would fry during hit sunny days.

Potentially the start of the new mountain bike park?
That really looks like it has permanently been made into a private lawn for the building next door.Abbey Glenn Park is still fenced off from the general public

Goes back to that 1% occupy movement, heard tales and saw lots to confirm the problems, just like our regular campgrounds...It's a private park and always has been, but the owner (Melcor?) previously they left it open to the public. I guess they got fed up with homeless people camping out there.
I added some details and links in the Winter City thread. Keep in mind any designs are very provisional. This just in from Coun. Stevenson (I had written to her about need to add some amenities to Louise McKinney Park)
"I just learned today about another exciting opportunity coming to Louise McKinney Park. The City has reached an agreement with an outdoor sports company to construct an ice climbing and bouldering wall in the park. The plan is to host several international and local ice-climbing competitions over the next three years, building on the success we had hosting them with temporary infrastructure at the Oilers Fan Park. When not being used for competitions, the wall will be open to the public for ice climbing, dry tooling, sport climbing, and bouldering.
I hope this will be a great way to bring people down to this space over the winter and keep them coming back in the summer!"
