Riverdale Park. I guess I should stop by again during late spring or summer.

Lots of new camps in the valley this weekend. 2 new ones being set up above the Old timers Cabin on Sat.

It's a private park and always has been, but the owner (Melcor?) previously they left it open to the public. I guess they got fed up with homeless people camping out there.
Goes back to that 1% occupy movement, heard tales and saw lots to confirm the problems, just like our regular campgrounds...

This just in from Coun. Stevenson (I had written to her about need to add some amenities to Louise McKinney Park)

"I just learned today about another exciting opportunity coming to Louise McKinney Park. The City has reached an agreement with an outdoor sports company to construct an ice climbing and bouldering wall in the park. The plan is to host several international and local ice-climbing competitions over the next three years, building on the success we had hosting them with temporary infrastructure at the Oilers Fan Park. When not being used for competitions, the wall will be open to the public for ice climbing, dry tooling, sport climbing, and bouldering.

I hope this will be a great way to bring people down to this space over the winter and keep them coming back in the summer!"

My only small wonder of the ice wall is where in Louise McKinney park. Ice walls last longer when they are not directly in the sun. The park itself faces south.

I added some details and links in the Winter City thread. Keep in mind any designs are very provisional.
