Small Scale Housing
- Mayfield: A move from RS to RSM h12 to make room for small- to medium-scale housing—think row housing with a bit more height and site coverage.
- Belvedere: A shift from RS to RSM h14 to allow a mix of small- to medium-scale housing, including low-rise apartments and row housing, adding gentle density in an established area.
- Westmount: Out with the old DC2.1126, in with a standard RSM h12 zone that makes it simpler to build a range of small- to medium-scale housing without a set of out-dated regulations.
- Highlands: From RS to RSM h12—allowing new small- to medium-scale housing that blend into the existing neighbourhood context while adding more housing choice.
- Strathcona: This RS to RSM h12 rezoning would expand housing options in one of the most walkable neighbourhoods in the city.
- Forest Heights: From RS to RSMh12 to allow a mix of small- to medium-scale housing forms—giving this mature neighbourhood more flexibility for gentle density.
Medium and Large Scale Housing
- Inglewood: This application swaps a mixed-use zone (MU h16 f3.5 cf) for a residential zone of equivalent height (RM h16), making way for a low-rise apartment building without the requirement for commercial space on the main floor.
- Delwood: A pair of sites currently zoned CN and RS is up for rezoning to MU h16 f2.0, setting the stage for a mixed-use development consisting of residential, commercial, and/or community uses.
- Mayfield: Another one for Mayfield — this rezoning from RS to RM h16 would allow low-rise apartments, adding more housing choices in a redeveloping area.
- Calder: The proposed rezoning from RS to MUN would enable a neighbourhood-scale mixed-use development.
- Boyle Street: This application proposes changing the zoning from industrial (IM) to mixed use (MU h23 f3.0), supporting the ongoing evolution of the Stadium District Node into a more active and livable urban area.
- Allendale: A proposed rezoning from RS to RM h16 to enable a low-rise residential building that creates a thoughtful transition between the denser development along the Gateway Boulevard/Calgary Trail Primary Corridor and the surrounding residential neighbourhood.
Employment and Industrial
- McArthur Industrial: This application would rezone from Agriculture (AG) to Business Employment (BE), updating the zoning to match how the site is already being used. The change supports ongoing programming and community services at the Peter Lougheed Multicultural Village and allows for light industrial and commercial uses.
