New development permit for the former CapitalCare Greenfield site (behind the NoFrills on 40 Ave).

Shepherd's Care actually. The building that was demo'd was a nun's convent before becoming a supporting living facility. Very unique design and had an interior courtyard which worked well for residents living with dementia. A little bummed that it's gone but life goes on.

Would I love to see something like this, definitely yes. Will something like this happen, maybe.
I just wish that a development like this, would build as close to the LRT station first. At least for me it makes more sense to build closer to the public transit rather than further away in order to attract more people quickly due to the proximity of residential to the trains.
Maybe someone can tell me the reasoning why Century Park has been built as far away from the LRT station as possible first.

Holy crap, I didn't know that Eagle Builders purchased the entirety of the undeveloped area of Century Park. Makes sense why they've already been building on the east side - not sure if they've done towers before, but there's a first time for everything.

Crane up and the foundation being dug out for what I believe is a seniors residence (IIRC) on the old NE Christian School site in Beverly Heights

Might look like Ed Gooch, but its by Start Architecture and they do a lot of institutional design. The guts of the building are definitely closer to what you would see in long term care facilities. There are actually four towers, similar to the ones you see in the picture you posted. Still, definitely odd exterior design. It should be a fairly big development, though.
