Its finally revealed what that building is going to be! I remember it started being constructed in winter 2022.
From what I'm seeing, reading and understanding, there's not going to be a move of the HQ anytime soon. CWB's asset growth has been middling and stagnant over the last two years, and it seems like National Bank is going to be using CWB as their vehicle for growth in Anglo Western Canada since they're mainly focused in Quebec.

It honestly could be good news in terms of growth, both in asset and jobs for the future, especially if they're trying to make the Big Five into the Big Six.

Personally wouldn't mind us as Anglo Montreal of the West in this regard.

This building could use some TLC and perhaps a different approach. Last time I went by the glass to the lower level was filthy and I don't think it had been cleaned in years.

While I can understand the bar business can be lucrative and there is demand in the area, a good thorough cleaning is probably needed outside after every weekend along with frequent repair for any damage.

This place seemed much nicer and better kept up when the original collection of small shops was there, before bars were added.
