While I think the original question was mischievous or provocative; hopefully, so was the response. As we have found with other 'named' public buildings (Langevin, MacDonald, etc.), somebody somewhere will be offended. We seem to have gotten along just fine with naming it after its municipal address. All of these, including Rideau Hall, are informal anyway.

Even someone like Egerton Ryerson, who championed universal education for children in Ontario and fought definitively against the power of the Family Compact in Upper Canada, is tainted because of his involvement in conceptualizing (read: not implementation of) Residential Schools.

Better to name it after some native flower species or something.
