I have to say, good on the leaker for handing the memo to the media. Particularly when there is advice to not eat moose or deer meat in case that is the source.
It's bad news if there is a new prion disease of unknown provenance spreading in NB. Seems like more effort should be expended studying it and identifying epidemiological factors to narrow down what is causing it. Prion diseases are pretty scary stuff. Prions are challenging to sterilize off things like surgical or dental tools. And of course, we have no effective treatments.
It seems quite odd (even for O'Toole) to start demanding that the Feds get deep into things that are 99% a PROVINCIAL responsibility. I bet most premiers will not be rooting for this!
