Why do you think she's not ready for prime time? I get that people are fed up with the Liberals but Ford has done nothing as a one term councillor so what makes you think he's qualified?

I think to a small extent it's the notion of the ONDP *at large* not being ready for prime time, and that they never will be ready for prime time, with 1990-95 as proof of why. They'll always be the "incompetent Rae government" party, however much said "incompetence" was a myth or an illusion generated through external circumstances...

Honestly. Is it not that she has been taped saying things that are not in line with the image the party wants to project? The gender of the person saying it is irrelevant.
I think John Dee’s point was that other candidates have said crazy stuff too, yet they are still around. So why is she gone and others remain? The others are male.

It's probably more strategic than anything. I bet those crazy positions of the other guys actually win them votes in their ridings.
