Construction to reconfigure the Six Points Interchange is approaching completion, and all roads, sidewalks and bike lanes are expected to open by years end, 2020. Some minor works will continue in 2021 such as landscaping and minor repairs, and City Staff will continue to monitor road conditions...

Bloor centre lane is now pave with traffic using it now only.

Beamish has seen final coat of pavement on it.

Dundas west of Beamish to Kipling and more so to Bloor has final top coat pavement, but never look at that area. The west section to Aukland is a single lane in east direction with the main contractor doing curve and sidewalks. Crews working on the south side with parts of sidewalk built and got most of the driveway close by the Westward Apartment with the forming of the curb. The new curb is a foot or 2 to the north now and that shows up quite clearly for the east end driveway.

All the area between the curb and the land on the north side has been excavated and waiting forming of the sidewalk. A number of poles can be remove now and a few more when the forming of the sidewalk takes place. The centre lanes close with construction vehicles there. Single lane traffic for some time for both Bloor and Dundas.

Next comes the narrowing of Dundas Street West, west of Kipling, to include bus lanes, cycle lanes, and wider pedestrian sidewalks?

Make the right most lane for buses and right turns; the next lane 30 km/h only for bicycles, e-bikes, and any other vehicle doing under 32 km/h; and the left lanes for motor vehicles.

Not sure you will see wider sidewalks west of Aukland. To be clear, you have planters that makes the sidewalk look wider.
This is at Acorn Ave and go east just before Aukland. Bike lane on the road.

Yes they are only for this area only.

Cycles can now use the new path from/to Six Point Plaza on Dundas to/from Bloor St intersection. All the missing sections have been pave as well the whole area has been marked for cycles. The section on Bloor west of Kipling is also pave for use.

No idea where the contractor has disappear to, but very little in sidewalk work has taken place since I last saw it. They pour the south-west corner of Bloor and Dundas and nothing for the other 3 corners.

They have built 90% of sidewalk on the north side for Six Point Plaza except the entrances and where hydro pole still need to be remove. The block up to Aukland still not done considering the curb layout been ready for the last month.

The hoarding for Westward has been remove to allow the curb and sidewalk to be built in front of it. All new traffic lights install and waiting for hock up and other road to be done before putting into operation.

Really like how the parcel of land on the south side of Six Points Plaza (lower left of picture) was retained by city to make open and wide sidewalks for public use instead of being sold off. Nice!

Edit:

Just realized that the design is in keeping with the original path of Dundas street (as indicated in the above post) and will be incorporated into the other parcels of land adjacent to this parcel. I had to look twice to finally catch on lol.

How cool that the city is trying to honour architectural history with this design.

I like how that new paved, pedestrian plaza on the south end of Six Points plaza follows the historic alignment of the previous overpass ramp to Dundas. That's a nice touch.
