Finally, somebody who actually knows what they're talking about and not just "speculation". Thanks for this!

This whole thread has been 3 years of running speculation from MetroMan's (anonymous) "reliable sources." What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Sandro Lisi being released is nothing short of vindication for the Ford's and a smack in the face of the conspiracy theorists with a healthy dose of reality and truth. The only obstruction and conspiracy I see is a witch hunt perpetrated by the left wing media backed by the downtown elites and spread on leftist forums like UT.

They couldn't stop the Ford's at the ballot box so they spy on them and try to intimidate them into backing down from the housecleaning they're doing down at City Hall. Trying to overturn the results of the election is subverting democracy, which is a far cry from the values the leftists claim to support. Bunch of hypocrites.

The Star and Globe buying a plane to peep into their backyards is over the line and Gary Giroux should be ashamed for supporting them. He is a career paper-pusher who would be unemployable if he didn't have his union thugs at City Hall protecting him. Be a man! If these people have a problem with the Ford's they should take care of it face to face, man to man. Call him any time! Knock on his door any time! Leave his family and his kids out of it.

Sarcasm is often difficult to detect on the internet, but, well done, sir.

^He's (or she's) upped his (or her) game since I called him (or her) out for his (or her) failure to use the word "shenanigans" last week. You're welcome. :p

+1

When this arrest does happen, can we throw a party? Perhaps at NPS?

The Ford brothers must stick to the "Any other questions?" line. It works so well for them.

if they must answer, then say:
Rob is doing a great job cutting the gravy, crating jobs, beating up the unions, building subways and taking on the lefties at city hall.

Just great. The press will hate it but it works.

Then do great photo ops such as filling in a pot hole, inspecting the Downsview subway extension, serving turkey at a soap kitchen on Thanksgiving. Delivering spare clothes to a family burnt out by fire.

Wonderful stuff. endless possibilities. He is a celebrity. Just having him show up somewhere—anywhere brings on the cameras.

Given that the video game industry is larger than Hollywood, perhaps we take TTM's idea of the Greater Toronto Area video game and make it reality. We can make it a wide open sandbox game featuring Rob Ford as the sole playable character (or perhaps rename him and slightly alter his looks). It can be made violent (to attract more controversy from moral guardians; after all, many moral guardians are closely aligned to Ford Nation). After all, many of the top selling games are rated M for money. Eventually, Take-Two Interactive would want to buy the Greater Toronto Area game and make billions out of it (and the people who originally made the game would be swimming in cash; TTM would get at least a million dollars for coming up with that idea first). It would be funny if the Greater Toronto Area game is being advertised on buses, streetcars, and street furniture.

What an interesting idea, TTM. MetroMan would get some of the profits as well. We would all be rich (at the expense of Ford and his nation)!

Yes, I know that the Greater Toronto Area game is a joke, but look at how much we can monetize it.

Rockstar does have a studio in Toronto and they did work on GTA 5.....they could totally make some DLC if any arrests are made

It just became very likely that Ford will be charged with conspiracy to commit and indictable offence. Especially if he knew Lisi was attempting to retrieve the phone via drug trafficking.

For the sake of Ford, let's just hope he was smart enough to be vague and not instruct Lisi specifically what to do. If not, then he could be facing up to five years in jail.

And as for Lisi, if he will face jail time in the likely event that he's not handed a conditional discharge.

Things are getting even more interesting.

Alleges

Project Brazen 2
Lisi was offering a payment of marijuana in exchange for a lost/stolen cell phone that belonged to an associate (Rob Ford)

From the article: "The police document states that Project Brazen 2 is under the direction of homicide Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux, a seasoned investigator. Toronto police say Giroux is involved because of his expertise in difficult cases and that Brazen 2 is not connected to a homicide."

If we are to believe the TPS source for the article, unless there is another investigation that has spun off from Brazen 2, the investigation of the Mayor and his inner circle does not involve homicide.

It's telling that even the possibility of Ford being involved in a homicide is being seriously considered. How many big-city Mayors can say the same?
