Full disclosure: I am working on Andray Domise's campaign.

Domise is a solidly serious candidate with precisely zero love for the Fords. As part of our research, we've been looking at voting records. They have done so little and have actively voted against so many things that would benefit Rexdale on any meaningful level that it's scary.

Props to you, Gavin. Feels great to take some action, I bet.

Keep up the good work, and feel free to share your findings ;)

According to Ancestry.ca, Ford’s first paternal ancestor in Canada may have been sent here at age 11 because he was “unruly.”

I was looking for the video of Katie Simpson's reaction to the 'enough to eat at home' and came across another reaction by a female reporter-not sure who she is with- but it's funny too.

Thanks. I think she was still married to Pressley when Jennifer was born, hence the last name. Maybe she was meeting up with MK secretly while married to JP. Maybe the actual paternity wasn't even known for a while. Yeesh.

remember (not that it's trustworthy) but rob said...

As Ford tells it, Kathy Ford’s first boyfriend was Mike, before she married Jeff and had a daughter.

After divorcing Jeff, she lived six years with Ennio, bearing a son. She left Ennio and went back to Mike

ok... it might be starting to make a little sense... kathy got pregnant with kiklas' kid while she was married to pressley... that's why those 2 men both get called jennifer's father?

also... i wonder when mikey changed his last name to ford, apparently it used to be stirpe pressley.

"Ernest Ford fought in the First World War. As a member of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he was awarded the Good Conduct Badge in 1917 for military service, a 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal, and the Victory Medal."

According to Findagrave, his DOB is May 3, 1889.

There is no one with that DOB here:

Lots of home children were sent off because they were orphans - seems GGrandfather may have shipped off his son for this reason. My sons' great grandfather was a Barnardo Home child who was shipped over when he was 11 and his brother 8 after his widowed father remarried and the new wife either couldn't or didn't want to look after all of her step children (a number remained in England). Life in Canada often sucked for these kids (forced to work long hours etc - not exactly Anne of Green Gables stuff).

Well, Henry Ford was legendary and Edsel Ford (who became the President of Ford Motor Company in 1919) was famous at the time the kid was born (1929). To this day the Fords, and some Ford Nation types, like to play off the name on signs and stickers (e.g., Ford Tough).

A member of the Ford clan, seemingly named after a car was killed by *public transit*? You can't write this stuff.

Looks like lying about your history also runs in the family line at least from Ernest Ford on down.

Turns out an “unruly” streak may run deep in Mayor Rob Ford’s family.

...
Ernest Ford later claimed he was born in Canada, according to Ancestry.ca.
In his military papers and marriage certificate, Ford reported he was born in Portage Vale, N.B.
“Ernest’s birth and christening records show he was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England,” according to Ancestry.ca.

Yeah, and the only one with same birth date claims a birth place in NB.

ETA oops, that does appear to be him, from the Sun's article:

When he realized that he would be better off to hitch his wagon to the Fords than to the Stirpes or Pressleys - that is, when Unca' Doug put him on the payroll?

Looking for marriage registration of grandparents.Earnest or Ernest Ford to Celia Eliza (don't know maiden name) sometime between 1911-1922. Up against brick wall can't find anything. May also have been married in N.B. Ernest worked in Nipissing according to 1911 census for Gowganda and was single at that time.Enlisted in army in 1915 .So i think he got married sometime after that. Any info would be helpful.
