Rob Ford on Wynne victory: 'Voters are never wrong'

As soon as the results were final, Mayor Rob Ford picked up his cellphone to call the premier personally.

“I want to congratulate Kathleen Wynne,†said the mayor, who watched election results at his treatment facility in Muskoka. “I left messages on the two numbers I have.â€

He also reached out to Councillor Peter Milczyn.

“I want to congratulate my council colleague for his win as well,†he said. “I admit my heart bleeds for Doug Holyday for sure but you have to hand it to Peter. I am really hoping Doug will now come back and run for council again.â€
