Cut and dry, yes complaining about the use of city hall property (mayor's office) not so. It may be months before the Integrity commissioner gets a chance to rule. As we don't know what expires inside the office, CH staffers and council members will have to keep and eye out and believe me they do. In the mean time Ford's office get's used as he pleases i.e. Campaign HQ and VIP lounge for social gatherings. Silverstein has no business being there and if the sober coach has to be there to mind the toddler it is pretty sad this city has a mayor who is medically unfit to even cut ribbons and speak at events under the capacity of Mayor in name only.

Simple explanation for Security escorting Stintz to her office: there was a problem with the security access cards, nothing more. It happens on occasions.

Donald Trump to RF: "Rob Ford: You're Fired!!!"

EVB and Everyone: Noting this picture of RF and his wife Renata alongside Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka
I along with many am thinking that Apprentice line: "Rob Ford - You're Fired!!!" We all wish it could be that easy
and Torontonians will hopefully get their say with the October election...

When I see pictures of Renata Ford I can't help but wonder how she is dealing with RF's problems and he
should thank her each day for her standing alongside him after all that has happened...LI MIKE

While I agree with the sentiment, I doubt that bullies of Ford's caliber respect or even understand the 'I'm bored of your antics, I'm above such disdainful behaviours, scolding finger wag'.

From what I've seen so far, kindness, politeness, benefit of the doubt = weakness, you're a sucker, to Rofo and Dofo.

Not only that, but the clincher is that they find a way to take advantage of your willingness to appear weak to people who think like them.

yep. something along the lines of "take your phony apology and shove it" would be nice. and a little, "grow up and grow a pair while you're at it" would be good too.

but then that's just red meat for the UT crowd. if she really wanted to be tactical about it, she'd attack rob where he lives. something like, "he rides the gravy train harder than anyone. every single person out there working a real job knows that if they acted like him they'd be fired."

According to whom? I just went thru #rfmg's tweets from yesterday and didn't see anything.

I was there yesterday afternoon. Both Doug and Jerry had to phone to get into the mayor's office because their cards didn't work. When the security guard came up with Stinz, we assumed it was for the same reason.

Edit: The cards of other people who went into the office later on (like secretaries or other admin people I hadn't seen before) worked. So maybe security fixed the problem, or only some people's cards weren't working.

This is good, but the timing would be wrong if that tactic was used right now. Voters' attentions are on other things right now. That message will go out later from all candidates, I expect. This is the "don't break a sweat just yet" approach, all the while the FoBos will be given more and more rope.

Ford's taken over $1 million from the city in his time on council. That buys A LOT of crack and vodka.

According to whom? That would be telling secrets. But take my word for it. There was a problem with the card access, nothing sinister of Stintz being afraid.

Did a large chunk of the thread just get split off?

Yes. The past is the past. We wouldn't wish a 100,000 comment thread on our worst enemies. All we know is that there were posts yesterday and posts today. We're just going to have to take it one reply at a time.

Yep, just a quick spin-off of the most recent posts to avoid what happened earlier this year. Continue on!
