http://torontoist.com/2015/10/a-dispatch-from-ford-fest-2015/Now folks, I’m not gonna pretend there weren’t some flaws—most surprisingly, a growing sense of politics as usual. Take the long line to get burger tickets: it stretched across the park, and was all too reminiscent of the bureaucracy that strangles City Hall (I tried calling Rob at his personal phone number so I could ask him to deliver me a hamburger in person, but I couldn’t get through). I was also highly disappointed to see campaign representatives from Conservative party candidates Toyin Dada (Etobicoke North) and Chuck Konkel (Scarborough-Guildwood). Though I consider myself passionate about such issues as politics, government, etc., these elites from the establishment parties had no place at this celebration of the common folk. I’m passionate about political issues such as transit and Ordinary Canadians, but we don’t go to Ford Fest for politicians.
But folks, all my misgivings evaporated once the man of the hour took the stage. Rallying the #FordNation troops after a difficult year, Rob confirmed that his tumour was gone, his spirit was strong, and hinted strongly that in 2018, the dual-mayor system would end (a long overdue acknowledgement that showboating politician John Tory has unfairly overshadowed his partner). Though he would spend the night posing for photos and accepting praise, he said that Ford Fest was really for us: a token of gratitude from Etobicoke’s king to his subjects. Though frigid darkness befell Ford Fest a little after 7 p.m., the sun will never set on #FordNation.
i'd like to know when and where this photo was taken...

... 'cause that looks like a recent photo of rob , but look... he's in a suit!
Costumes for bodybuilding. What it really means she just bought a bedazzler.Competition suit customizer ...?!
It looks like inside the SkyDome, plus the lanyard around his neck appears to say 'championships'. The woman next to him appears to be wearing the same thing in the inset photo, including a Jays T-shirt.
Is that CP24 on-air personality with her?
it could be recent but before his dental improvements.Still has crack teeth so either it isn't recent or the dentist theory isn't correct.
i really think 3 of doug's girls are afraid of the 'ford fat gene' and just took it to the extreme. the one that doesn't go to the gym, looks like this...Costumes for bodybuilding. What it really means she just bought a bedazzler.
That whole body building / extreme fitness subculture is creepy as fuck. It's as if Arnold Schwarzenegger ate Honey Boo Boo and crapped out a bunch of roid babies.
http://www.watoday.com.au/comment/bodybuilders-rage-20130411-2hnba.htmlIt's the hottest new fitness fad to hit town, but experts are likening obsessive bodybuilding to anorexia.
Though Councillor Rob Ford ballparked the building’s resale value at more than $200 million, staff say the “unique” Old City Hall would actually only bring in $75 million when needed renovations were considered.
Though Ford ultimately supported the motion to study public use, he said the city still needs to look at ways to make money from the property.
“Even if we did have a museum — I’m just thinking out loud here — at Old City Hall, it would only take up not even a quarter of the space. Now what are we going to do with the rest?” Ford mused during the debate. “I was just thinking a nice hotel, like compare the Chateau Laurier, like an old historic hotel with the museum, maybe with a fancy restaurant because you’ve got all this open space that we could make a lot of money on. I think we should keep our options open.”
Retail on the main floor with a museum upstairs would help cover operating costs and could be done well - it is an idea worth exploring. Hard to see how a museum on its own would cover both opex and retire the debt from renos.Rob Ford would rather Old City Hall make money. See link.
Any retail should be in the dungeons, the basement, connecting with PATH.

but personally, i think kara looks better than, say, kyla...
I just want to touch base and clarify with all of you that I am not always this lean year round! You do NOT need to be lean or a competitor to be considered healthy. I feel healthy right now, but there are days where I am tired, bloated, extra sore, etc. and I know that being this lean for an extended period of time is not healthy!!
..
I am 6 weeks out of IFBB worlds and I have been able to stay this lean post comp because I have stuck to my reverse diet!! I just got invited to represent Team Canada at this show, and if I did not have a plan post show Aug. 22nd, I would not have been able to throw my body into another prep!
Yes, I enjoy treat meals on my refeed days, but never have I cheated on the plan. Stay consistent and persistent and everything will be A LOT easier on you and your body!
Health will always come first to me! I keep my body and mind healthy so I can do this! Being in comp prep mode for this long is not easy, but I can do it!! after this show I will be back into improvement season, reverse dieting, and getting stronger!!
