Quite right. You're only forced to walk through the food court when you're exiting Milestones or Jack Astors... making the logic of the design even more incomprehensible.

My favourite activity there is to sit in the food court and watch people search for the down escalator.....very fun to do.

We should capture that on video, speed it up a little and put Benny Hill music to it, then mail it to Pen Equity.

Google had an open house for their new offices here today; alas I fractured my elbow on Monday and couldn't make it. But they're there now and open for business.

MODs ... from memory, I remember seeing the architectectural plans for TLS which were prepared by Yonge + Wright Architects (now part of IBI Group)

Okay, so let's see... Before joining IBI Group, Yonge + Wright were responsible or partially responsible for the following projects:

- Skydome
- The Empire Plaza condo at University & Wellington
- Sharp Centre for Design (Alsop's OCAD addition on stilts)
- One City Hall
- Toronto Shangri-La

What the hell happened?!

I understant that the architects for the Toronto Life Square building were Baldwin & Franklin Architects.
Take a look at this link:

and this:
http://www.bfarch.com/

you are definitely correct ... but I DO believe Young + Wright was part of the project team but not the LEAD architect in TLS ...

on another note, Y+W was also heavily involved in the Shangri-La Toronto project ... but of course since they weren't the LEAD, it wasn't published :p

Anyone see Millenium Place on Baldwin & Franklin's webpage?

http://www.bfarch.com/ --> Our Work --> last 'Box with a dot'

Millenium Place looks to be the CN Tower base revitalization plan a few years back which introduces IMAX and entertainment venues? judging from the project name I'll say the project is dead now .... haha seeing we're way past year 2000 now :D
