I hope they didn't pay much for that "concept" design. Good God that's bad. And I don't see how the structure would integrate with The Bay. Would be a mess of a project.

That's been posted and dismissed already. Purely a speculative exercise, never formalized.

I have a hard time believing something like this would ever be approved. Was this part of the thought process that eventually led to the existing 2 Queen West plans? Is it safe to assume this speculative exercise is over?

Wow what an amazing design and would be or would have been a great addition. Can this not be put elsewhere in the city. If not this location. It would look great just about anywhere in the city.

1000+ residents moving above the Bay by 2020? Do check out the renderporn.

count me in to one of those people who hadn't seen that link before you posted it.
though just conceptual, those renders are always fun to look at. I won't comment on the design, but it really illustrates just how large this piece of land is, and what could be built on that chunk of prime real estate.
the entire Yonge-Dundas area is gonna be fun to watch as all these new high-rise developments change the look and feel of the area. it's gonna get more and more claustrophobic (in a good way) much like the Times Square area to contain all the congestion.

Yup, it would have been too heavy-handed for its location on top of The Bay.
