It is nice that once Halo is completed it will obscure the massive blank beige wall of the provincial office building on 25 Grosvenor.

Yeah I guess for its time it was innovative in its use of materials. The beige concrete is a good contrast to the sea of grey and blue glass window walls.

That big blank wall isn't pretty but it's still less offensive than half of Yonge Street. Halo will replace what is one of the ugliest blocks in the downtown. I've been wanting this block gone from the minute I laid eyes on it.
The office building I like, the rest has to go.

I'm not normally a fan of big blank walls, but the rounded walls with that textured concrete cladding look great as they cradle the glassy and light north and south facades.

I've had hotel rooms that face bare walls. You need your lights on all the time. Even on bright sunny days. Its like living in a basement apartment.

I rather like the coroners building too. In the 70's a lot of thought went into the look of concrete. It was as though it was a new product.

The blank wall is more of a dusty rose. I've always liked it.
