The opening for Shangri-La Hotel Toronto will be only moderately delayed from the orginal date of August 7, 2012 and from my most recent tour of the building, looks even more impressive than the new Four Seasons Hotel and Residences.

Can you be more specific about "moderate delay". Are we talking a couple of weeks or September/October? I assume they will be open for TIFF.
I know they delayed the move-in dates for the condo by 2 weeks.

The interval you made mention of for both the residences and private estates at Living Shangri-La Toronto is precisely the 'moderate delay' designated to the hotel component of the building as well.

I don't know but it would be smart if it was. Afterall, it is the main arrival point for the hotel and would be a busy area.

It's probably a glycol driveway heating system. Not that rare actually - you see proposals for that in various community council reports from time to time.

My building is almost thirty years old and we have a heated ramp to the parking garage. It isn't that crazy a thing to see.

What a majestic rear-end this building has! It almost puts the fussy University Avenue side to shame. Imagine if they'd switched the two, and how well Zhang Huan's sculpture would look, set off by such simplicity.
